In the last few years, Will and I have both felt encouraged and directed by God to share our story with others so that they too may have successful, Godly, loving marriages OR re-marriages. We are not pros. We are only here to share our story and hopefully touch your lives!
Here is a short version of our story: Will and I were married in November 2005. In December 2006 we gave birth to our son. We were divorced in March of 2007 and Re-United in October 2008 and dated for a few months, separated (gave up temporarily) and the re-united again in 2009 and married October 30, 2009. We gave birth to our second son in 2010. We have been happily married for 6 years...and that is how we see it!
Our life has been a journey...we have good times and we have bad. The common factor in our lives, the area we have both grown in, and the person who told us both that our relationship was worth another try...that person was God. "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."Philippians 4:1
The first thing we did was stop listening to the counselors (Christian counselors) telling us that the percentage of re-marriages that fails is 67. Whatever happened to a little tough love. We should have been told that no matter where we have been, that if we both focus on God and put him first, that we "can" succeed through Christ who strengthens us.
We will use this blog to share our life stories. We will each talk about our lives before each other and then we will share stories about how we got where we are now.
Part of success means sharing. We share our message and remain accountable to God and to everyone who reads this.
